Liar or Idiot?

President Obama has repeatedly made a mockery of his critics and protesters of
the Health Care Reform Bill. He makes people chuckle at the thought he wants to kill grandma and somehow this is just a ploy from the far right to stop you from getting the proper treatment that every American deserves. That’s not entirely accurate. The people he hired as advisors believe other wise. Lets be frank about this. The President is either a liar, or an idiot. Consider the following.
Lets focus on just two of his advisors. The first of which is Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel. Which just so happens to be the brother of Rahm Emanuel, the White House Chief
of Staff. Dr. Emanuel says doctors take the Hippocratic Oath too seriously. Basically in the interest of the country, and money, doctors should reconsider saving lives and consider the economic consequences of treating their patient. To put a gentler spin on it, we’ll call it End of Life Counseling.

Savings will require changing how doctors think about their patients: Doctors take the Hippocratic Oath too seriously, as an imperative to do everything for the patient regardless of the cost or effects on others - Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel (Journal of the American Medical Association, June 18, 2008)
Another one of the Presidents advisors is David Blumenthal. He says slowing medical innovation could be used to control health spending. Though he concedes they're
"Associated with longer waits" and "reduced availability of new and expensive treatments and devices" - David Blumenthal (New England Journal of Medicine, March 8, 2001).
But then says..
This is all debatable whether the timely care Americans receive is actually worth the cost.
So what are these two telling the president?
